La Hoya's commercial area is taking shape. The Consum supermarket is in the final stage of construction and, very close by, work has begun on the new Aldi. Together with Hiperber, which is already open, the neighbourhood will soon have three supermarkets within a few minutes' walk of the new homes.
Where they are
Both are being built in the commercial strip of the development, running alongside the CV-905 road: around 100,000 m² set aside for shops and services between San Luis and Jardín del Mar. It is the same area where Bauhaus is building its large DIY, home and garden store.
Licences approved
In November 2025 Torrevieja Town Council gave the go-ahead to process the licences for Bauhaus and for two supermarkets in La Hoya, one of them Consum. Aldi is also among the shops planned for the neighbourhood.

The chains have not yet announced their opening dates. We will update this article and the La Hoya map as soon as they are confirmed.
What it means for the neighbourhood
Having a supermarket nearby is one of the first things people ask about when they consider living in a new neighbourhood. With Consum and Aldi, everyday shopping in La Hoya can be done without taking the car, adding to the services already around the neighbourhood, such as Quirónsalud Hospital and the Auditorio Internacional. You can see them all on the services page.
