Church of the Immaculate Conception
The main church, built with stone from the old watchtower.
The Church of the Immaculate Conception is Torrevieja's main church, built in the 19th century after the 1829 earthquake. Stones from the old watchtower that gave the city its name were reused in its construction.
It is the starting point of the Holy Week processions and the centre of the Purísima patron saint festivities in December.
