Sports City and Palacio de los Deportes
More than 300,000 m² of facilities, host of major international events.
Torrevieja's Ciudad Deportiva (sports city) covers more than 300,000 square metres with football pitches, athletics tracks, an Olympic swimming pool, a racket area (tennis, padel and squash) and the Palacio de los Deportes "Tavi y Carmona", the city's main arena.
The arena hosted the 2021 Women's Handball World Championship, where it was the base of the Spanish team; the 2024 women's Olympic qualifying tournament and the 2025 Virtus World Futsal Championship. In 2026 plans were approved for a new heated pool next to the existing one.
